Identity (part II): A visual Dialogue

23 Jul 2024 - 31 Jul 2024

Exhibition of artworks created during the 2nd episode of the MOZAIK art residency, in the framework of the EuroMed ArtHub initiative, in association with the Anna Lindh Foundation.
The Filmed art residency takes place in July 2024, with the participation of:Mohab Abdelghaffar (Egypt), Michael Gerber Touma (Germany). The exhibition is going to take place at Károlyi Palace. The exhibition will be also on view at the website of the Art Colony.

Motivated by the desire to cultivate meaningful intercultural dialogue through the visual arts in the Euro-Mediterranean region, and committed to leveraging the capabilities of modern social media outreach for amplified impact, this initiative holds significant relevance for fostering Intercultural Dialogue. By inviting two artists from the Mediterranean’s complementary shores, it enables a rich exchange of perspectives and ideas. Through their residency, these artists engage in deep dialogue, sharing insights on art’s role in their societies. Moreover, showcasing their work to wider audiences deepens understanding of each other’s cultures.  It exposes selected artists to new audiences: Thus, the initiative addresses multiple targets, broadening cultural horizons and promoting cross-cultural appreciation in the visual arts domain.
