Manal Mahamid was born in the village of Muaweya, near Umm El Fahem.
Her multimedia works focusing on Palestinian existence and identity have, since 1996, been exhibited in over 60 group exhibitions, including in London and New York.
She was one of the shortlisted artists in the A.M. Qattan Foundation’s Young Artist Award in 2005, and received The Delfina Foundation’s Riwaq Biennale Resident Artist Award in 2007.
