The central theme of this art residency was “B O R D E R L E S S”. In many ways, the unique opportunity for Palestinians to meet each other from Palestine, Israel and the diaspora with no road blocks and checkpoints involved, was in itself a refreshing experience for all, ensuring unspoiled borderless creative expression indeed. And worked they have, with great enthusiasm and devotion, using all sorts of materials and mediums, from the threads and pins, the textiles and fabric. Some artworks were inspired directly by the tragic death of our colleague Samir Salameh, may he rest in peace.
